S-RING-80 Red Winch Snatch Ring 8T
The S-RING-80 snatch ring is a compact alternative to a traditional pulley block for compatible winch recovery setups. It is designed to be lighter, easier to store and useful for overlanding, green laning and competition support vehicles.
Fitment & compatibility
- Universal recovery accessory; not vehicle-specific.
- Stated rating: 8T.
- Best suited to compatible synthetic rope recovery setups where a ring-style recovery device is appropriate.
- Must be used with correctly rated rope, soft shackle/hardware and recovery points.
Choose this if
Choose this if you want a compact snatch ring rather than a conventional steel or alloy pulley block. Choose a traditional snatch block such as the TF3305 or TF3505 if your setup or rope type requires it.
Why choose this
- Smaller and lighter than many conventional pulley blocks.
- Easy to store in the cab or recovery kit.
- No moving sheave to maintain.
- Less likely to damage surrounding kit in storage than heavy metal blocks.
Key features explained
- Smooth ring surface: the active line slides around the inside of the ring rather than over a pulley sheave.
- Compact storage: useful for vehicles where kit space is limited.
- Lightweight recovery option: easier to carry during difficult recoveries.
Installation & what else you may need
Use only with compatible rope and correctly rated soft shackles or connectors. Inspect the ring and rope after use, especially after heavy or dirty recoveries.

Helpful TFR links
Safety note: Recovery and winching loads can be dangerous. Always use correctly rated equipment, secure recovery points and a winch damper where appropriate, and keep people clear of any loaded line.
Is a snatch ring the same as a snatch block?
No. A snatch ring has no pulley sheave; the rope slides around the smooth inner surface. It must be compatible with your rope and recovery setup.
Can I use it with steel cable?
Do not assume. Ring-style recovery devices are typically chosen for synthetic rope setups. Contact TFR before using one with steel cable.
