With the introduction of the G4 version TFIIDBTG4, GAP Diagnostic's has adapted its tried and tested G3 TFIIDBT to the latest on-board-diagnostic (OBD) hardware introduced by Land Rover: diagnostics over IP (DoIP). While this hardware change in the G4 will allow the IIDTool to communicate fully with all ECUs in the latest vehicles, it also means that the G4's OBD connector no longer has the capacity to support earlier vehicles.

The G4 IIDTool will support all vehicles from MY 2005 on* while the IIDTool G3 will support all vehicles from 2002 to 2016**. The IIDPRO will encompass both a G3 unit and a G4 unit.

*The Range Rover L322 2002-09 and Defender L316 2007-16 are not supported by the G4. Some vehicles may require an adapter connector Part No TFIIDADPT - please see 'Vehicle Coverage' atwww.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool for details.

**Discovery 2 & Defender TD5 and Freelander 1 introduced prior to 2002 are not covered. *With optional adapter TFIIDADPT, cable or OBD modification which consist of removing wires from position 12 and 13 of the OBD connector. **Limited coverage, ECU flashing is not possible on some ECUs.
